Scissor Lifts

A scissor lift lifts from underneath. There are no columns on either side of the vehicle, so the doors open all the way and nothing blocks the technician — and when the job is done the whole platform folds down to a few inches of floor.

That is why a scissor lift often makes sense where a two-post does not: a shop with one bay, a low ceiling, or a floor that has to do something else tomorrow. Some models roll from bay to bay; others are set into the floor and stay put.

The range is wide. Capacity, rise height, footprint and power requirements all vary by model, and so does whether the lift is meant for tire and brake work or for full undercar service and alignment.
