Class 8 truck and bus rims, and the farm or earthmoving service center that needs wheels of up to 118 in. in diameter and up to 6,613.8 lbs (3,000 kg), the rated maxima of the Corghi HD1800 Hydrus for agricultural, earth movement and deforestation vehicles. Every machine is sold new, with the current price on each product page. Chuck clamping range decides most of these purchases, and the machines fall into three groups. A 26 in. or 27 in. class machine covers highway truck and bus work, and two listings add light farm duty: the JMC Equipment TC-770-T is listed for trucks, tractors and excavators, and the CEMB CM27T for Class 8 commercial trucks plus some off-road tractor tires and rims. What a 26 in. chuck cannot hold is a large agricultural or earthmoving rim, which starts at 40 in. and up, so a full farm or earthmover program needs the universal or OTR class -- 40 in. of rim and up. In the other direction, a 58 in. earthmover changer is a large three-phase machine for a shop that only turns highway tires.

The three classes of machine in this category
Truck and bus class: 14 in. to 26 in. rims
Six models clamp from 13 in. or 14 in. up to 26 in. or 27 in., the working range for Class 8 tractors, trailers, buses and commercial vans. The Corghi Service Pro 426 is the most basic: an electrohydraulic changer to 26 in. with manual arm lifting and tool tipping, a wheel assembly limit of 1,543 lbs (700 kg) and a wheel up to 59 in. in diameter and 30.7 in. wide. Corghi describes the HD700 as an entry-level semi-automatic machine, also 14 in. to 26 in., with a hydraulic power unit and hydraulic left-right carriage translation; its wheel lifter is rated 1,543.2 lbs (700 kg) and its cylinder 2,645.5 lbs (1,200 kg). That listing publishes no maximum tire diameter and no bead-breaker force, so request both before you compare it against the others.
Three more machines in this class add automation. The Ranger R26FLT has joystick control, an electric motor with hydraulic drive, a self-centering hydraulic four-clamp chuck and an armor-plated disc bead breaker, taking tires to 63 in. in diameter and 31.5 in. wide. The JMC Equipment TC-770-T uses a two-speed four-jaw chuck, a control unit on a movable stand and a pressure-regulated hydraulic pump: 64.5 in. of wheel diameter, 31.5 in. of width, and an inside rim clamp range of 14 in. to 26 in. (its sheet lists no outside clamping). The Hofmann monty 3850 handles wheels to 59 in. in diameter, 27.5 in. wide and 2,205 lbs, with a wired remote console and a patented all-in-one bead breaker and mount/demount head. One inconsistency there is worth knowing: its specification table prints 2,205 lbs next to 1,500 kg, which do not convert to each other, while its feature list confirms 2,205 lbs (1,000 kg); plan around 2,205 lbs.
The sixth machine keeps the arm manual. The CEMB CM27T is specified for manual lifting and traversing of the tool-holder arm and manual carriage translation with three working positions, and puts the power in the chuck instead: a two-speed hydraulic chuck with five rim locking positions. Its feature list gives a range of 13 in. to 27 in. for truck and bus wheels, and its specification table publishes a maximum rim diameter of 27 in., 63 in. of tire diameter, 30 in. of width and 4,100 lbs (1,860 kg) of bead-breaker force. Universal class: 40 in. to 56 in. rims, truck plus agriculture
Four models add farm tractor and light earthmoving work. The Corghi Service Pro 440 clamps 14 in. to 40 in., or up to 56 in. with an adapter, and takes wheels to 90.5 in. in diameter, 43 in. wide and 3,306 lbs (1,500 kg), with 4,500 Nm (3,319 lb-ft) of turntable torque, 28,000 N (6,295 lbf) of bead-breaking force and 44,000 N (9,892 lbf) of chuck locking force. The Hofmann monty 4400 clamps 14 in. to 44 in. with the same wheel envelope: 90.5 in., 43 in., 3,300 lbs. One conflict there is worth knowing: its marketing paragraph mentions 56 in. rims with optional extensions, while its specification table states 14 in. to 44 in. Treat the table as the rated range and confirm the extension option before ordering.
The CEMB SM56T is the dedicated tractor tire changer here: 14 in. to 46 in. on the rim, 90.5 in. of tire diameter, 42 in. of width and 6,000 lbf (2,721 kgf) of bead-loosening force, with a self-centering four-jaw system that doubles as a wheel lift and a hand-held control unit. Its own paragraph rounds that diameter to 90 in.; the specification table's 90.5 in. is the figure to plan around. The Corghi HD1300 is the compact option: 14 in. to 56 in. clamping (56 in. with the extensions supplied), 86 in. (2,200 mm) of wheel diameter, 51 in. (1,300 mm) of width, 4,200 Nm of torque, and 1,700 kg (3,748 lbs) of liftable wheel weight per its specification table -- its feature list rounds that figure to 3,700 lbs, so use the table.
OTR and earthmover class: 50 in. to 58 in. rims
Four machines clamp beyond 46 in., and each states its own applications. The Corghi HD1400E Evolution is listed for trucks, agricultural machines, deforestation and earth-moving machinery: it clamps 14 in. to 58 in., takes a 98.4 in. tire up to 58 in. wide, lifts up to 4,189 lbs and produces 3,688 lb-ft of torque with 6,744 lbs of bead-breaking force; wheels without central flanges clamp to 38 in. bare and 58 in. with extensions. The Hofmann monty 5800B is listed for off-road, skidders, commercial trucks and tractor wheels: it matches that clamping range and goes wider, at 98.5 in. of wheel diameter, 59 in. of width and 4,409 lbs (2,000 kg), with a two-speed chuck preset to 4 or 8 rpm so critical steps run slowly. Its marketing paragraph states 92 in. of tire diameter and 58 in. of width; the specification table rates it at 98.5 in. and 59 in. Treat the table as the rated envelope and confirm before ordering.
The Corghi Monster AGTT is the automated machine of the category, and its listing claims use on the tires of any vehicle. Its turntable uses four patented tilting jaws with 40,000 N of clamping force and 5,500 Nm of torque across three spindle speeds (1, 3.5 and 7.8 rpm). One range to confirm: the specification table rates clamping capacity at 14 in. to 58 in. with nine clamping positions, while the feature list describes the nine direct lockable positions as running 14 in. to 48 in. Treat the table as the rated range and confirm the detent spacing above 48 in. before ordering. The machine demounts without a lever using Corghi's "Leva la Leva" system, switches the tool block from one side of the tire to the other with its S.T.S. device, and is commanded by radio. It takes a 98.4 in. (2,500 mm) tire up to 63 in. The largest envelope belongs to the Corghi HD1800 Hydrus, listed for buses, large trucks, agricultural, earth movement and deforestation vehicles: 118 in. (3,000 mm) of wheel diameter, 71 in. (1,800 mm) of width, 6,613.8 lbs (3,000 kg) of wheel weight and 10,116 lbf (45,000 N) of bead-breaker force, clamping 14 in. to 50 in. without extensions and to 60 in. with them, on a three-speed hydraulic gear motor at 4, 6 and 10 rpm. Its sheet gives maximum torque as 5,500 Nm next to an imperial figure of "4 ft/lbs," a clear conversion typo; use the 5,500 Nm value.

Three listings are ready to order with a single-phase configuration: the JMC Equipment TC-770-T at 220V, 20 amp, 1 PH; the Hofmann monty 3850 at 208V, 1 Ph, 60 Hz; and the Corghi Service Pro 426 in its 230V 1 ph version, part number C-0-12102103/00, against 230V 3 ph 60 Hz under 0-12102102/00. The CEMB CM27T is also single phase (220V, 1 ph); contact us for availability on that model. The rest need three phase: 208V for the Hofmann monty 4400 and monty 5800B and the Corghi HD700, 220V for the CEMB SM56T (220V, 3 ph, 50/60 Hz), 230V for the Service Pro 440 and the HD1300, 400/230V for the HD1400E, 200/208/230/400V for the HD1800 Hydrus, and 208/230/400V at 5 kW for the Monster AGTT -- whose feature list offers 208V, 230V and 400V 3 ph while its specification table prints 230/400V, so confirm the voltage on the order. Floor space matters more than ceiling height: the tool arm and spindle carriage travel horizontally rather than lifting a vehicle. Read the axis labels rather than the order, because Corghi publishes L x P x H and Hofmann publishes H x W x D. Published dimensions run from 82 in. L x 71.6 in. D x 48 in. H (Service Pro 426) and 58 in. H x 83 in. W x 83 in. D (monty 3850), through 83 in. L -- up to 102 in. with the tool arm extended -- x 74.8 in. D x 69 in. H (Service Pro 440) and 63 in. H x 117 in. W x 81 in. D (monty 4400), to 79 in. H x 167 in. W x 83 in. D (monty 5800B) and 120.7 in. L x 102.4 in. W x 84.6 in. maximum H (Monster AGTT). Two of those are easy to misread: the monty 4400 needs a 117 in. by 81 in. footprint, not 63 in. by 117 in., and the Service Pro 440 needs the full 102 in. of length, not 83 in., once the arm is out. The R26FLT gives shipping dimensions only, 100 in. W x 65 in. D x 70 in. H; for the rest, request the installed footprint.
Floor loading matters too: these machines concentrate weight and absorb the reaction of bead breaking. Compliance and delivery notes
Eleven of the 14 listings ship free. Three do not: the Hofmann monty 4400, the Corghi HD1800 Hydrus and the JMC Equipment TC-770-T, whose listing quotes freight of $745 per unit to the contiguous 48 states, excludes Alaska, Hawaii and remote or limited-access locations, asks that orders above two units be quoted separately, and notes that Tuxedo collects sales tax on California orders. The Ranger R26FLT listing includes a California Prop 65 warning, states that Ranger charges sales tax in California, and states that unloading the freight at delivery is the buyer's responsibility. None of the 14 listings declares an ALI, ETL or ASME certification mark, so request it per model if your facility requires one.
Warranty terms are published per listing and are not the same. Ranger covers the equipment structure for 24 months, operating components for 12 months and labor for 12 months, on site or at the factory, plus 12 months of ground freight related to warranty performance. Hofmann covers its tire changers with 6 months of labor, 1 year of parts, 1 year on the air motor and 3 years on the electric motor and transmission. CEMB warrants its products for 12 months from the date of delivery, for goods ordered for business or professional use. Corghi USA publishes its own limited warranty on each listing; its tire changer schedule gives 2 years of parts and 1 year of labor for the models it names, including the HD700, with 90 days on rubber pads, air lines, gauges, mount/demount heads and swabs. Only some of that class publishes a rated wheel weight: 1,543 lbs (700 kg) on the Service Pro 426, 1,543.2 lbs (700 kg) on the Corghi HD700 and 2,205 lbs (1,000 kg) on the Hofmann monty 3850, also a 26 in. machine. The Ranger R26FLT and the TC-770-T publish none, so ask before you plan around a heavy assembly. An OTR machine like the Corghi HD1800 Hydrus carries a 6,613.8 lbs (3,000 kg) wheel and clamps to 50 in., or 60 in. with extensions. Buying down a class leaves you with a rim you physically cannot hold.
Do I need three-phase power?
Not necessarily, but options narrow sharply without it. Three listings are ready to order with a single-phase configuration: the TC-770-T (220V, 20 Amp, 1 PH), the Hofmann monty 3850 (208V, 1 Ph, 60 Hz) and the Corghi Service Pro 426 in its 230V 1 ph version. Can one technician operate these alone?
The models with a remote or mobile console are designed for it. Hofmann states that a single technician can oversee all tire-changing operations from a distance on the monty 3850, monty 4400 and monty 5800B using the wired remote console. The CEMB SM56T uses a hand-held unit so the operator can move around the wheel while working. The TC-770-T puts its control unit on a movable stand, and the Monster AGTT is commanded by radio.
Which model suits tractor and farm tires?
Three price points, and two of them are in the truck class. The JMC Equipment TC-770-T is the economical entry: its listing states it is compatible with trucks, tractors and excavators and handles wheels for most trucks, tractors and earth movers, clamping 14 in. to 26 in. inside. The CEMB CM27T is listed for tube and tubeless tires on over-the-road Class 8 commercial trucks as well as some off-road tractor tires and rims, at 13 in. to 27 in.; contact us for availability on that model. Do these machines handle split rims and tube-type tires?
Several listings address tube-type tires. The Corghi Service Pro 426 is specified for demounting and mounting tires with or without inner tubes, and its feature list names rim pliers, a split rim lever, alloy rim protections and an included bead lifting lever. The CEMB CM27T and SM56T are both specified for tube and tubeless tires, and the Hofmann monty 3850 covers tube-style and tubeless tires plus OTR wheel assemblies. No listing in this category states a split rim rating, so confirm the rim type with us before ordering.
