40 - 50 Horsepower

Two EMAX rotary screw compressors are listed in this 40-50 HP class, both three-phase, variable-speed, direct-drive units sold as cabinet only. The 40 HP (ERV0400003D) is rated at 188 CFM; the 50 HP (ERV0500003D) at 235 CFM. Both are rated to a maximum 167 PSI, run on 208/230/460V three-phase power and use a TEFC 1750 RPM motor.

EMAX rates its Drive-Tek design at up to 33% lower energy demand, and lists the variable-speed soft start motor as reducing amp draw at start-up. Plan the install around two spec-sheet items: both cabinets are designed for use with a stationary air receiver that is not included, and EMAX's recommended breaker is 125 A for the 40 HP and 160 A for the 50 HP.
