This category lists 1,123 new pipe bender accessories and replacement parts: 965 under the Huth name and 158 under Ben Pearson. It is the tooling and service side of exhaust, tube and pipe bending, not the machines themselves: bending dies, back shoes, collets, segments, swage dies, arbors, hydraulics, motors, pedals and decals.
Two things shape almost every order. Bender tooling is sized by tube outside diameter and by the centerline radius of the bend, and those are separate choices. And much of the catalog is model-specific: the arbor for a Huth 1685 is not the arbor for a Huth 1674, and a Ben Pearson arbor bolt for an MC machine is a different number than for a BP or MB.

Bending dies: radius first, then size
Huth alone lists more than 100 round bending dies in three standard centerline radii: 3 in., 4 in. and 5 in. The same tube size is a different part at each radius, so a 2 in. die is 3200 at 3 in. radius, 4200 at 4 in. and 5200 at 5 in.
Round sizes run from 1/2 in. to 3 in. outside diameter in the usual exhaust steps, ending 2-1/4, 2-3/8, 2-1/2, 2-3/4, 2-7/8 and 3 in. The 1/2 in. and 5/8 in. dies exist only at 3 in. and 4 in. radius, parts 3012, 3058, 4012 and 4058. Metric dies are listed at 40, 42, 45, 48, 50 and 55 mm at all three radii, with 60 mm at 4 in. and 5 in. radius only, and the listings note that 54 mm is covered by the 2-1/8 in. die, part 5218. Pipe and conduit are called out by true OD, not nominal trade size, which is why 0.840 in., 0.922 in. EMT, 1.050 in. and 1.163 in. EMT each have their own number. Anything 2-1/4 in. and larger is a heavier tool: the Huth tables mark those dies, and the back shoes for those sizes, as 4 in. thick.
Square, flat and special-profile dies
Square tube dies are a separate group for 3/4 in. through 3 in. square stock, and radius choice narrows as the section grows: 3/4 in. and 1 in. at 3 in. and 4 in. radius (3334, 4334, 3310, 4310), 1-1/4 in. at 4 in. and 5 in. (4314, 5314), 1-1/2 in. at 5 in. (5312, and 5313 in the Clr version), 2 in. at 5 in. (5320), 2 x 3 in. Easy Way at 5 in. (5322), 2-1/4 in. at 5 in. (5325), 2-1/2 in. at 5 in. (5350), and 3 in. at 6 in. radius (5330, heavy duty models only). Part 3303 is the flat stock bending die, listed at a 3-1/2 in. radius with a variable stock size; its companion is the 1003 flat stock back shoe, which comes with its 855 pins included.
Smooth and wrinkle versions
Twenty dies carry a W suffix: 3134W and 3200W at 3 in. radius; 4048W, 4056W, 4112W, 4134W, 4200W, 4409W and 4414W at 4 in.; 5112W, 5134W, 5158W, 5200W, 5412W, 5414W, 5530W, 5534W and 5578W at 5 in.; plus Ben Pearson 60227W and 62999W. One more wrinkle die, the 5531, has no W in its number. A W version is a separate part number from the smooth die of the same size, so order the number your bend sheet calls for.
Shoes: order them in pairs
This category lists 53 round back shoes and 13 square back shoes, along with 46 half shoes and 28 three-quarter shoes. The detail that catches buyers out is on the Huth listings: round back shoes are required in pairs, each piece is sold separately, and each one takes two 855 die pins. Square back shoes are also required in pairs, but their listings state that the required pins or bolts are included, so do not add 855 pins to a square order; the 1003 flat stock back shoe likewise includes its pins. That is why the full tooling packages, H1992, H1993 and H1995, ship two back shoes, six 855 pins and both the half shoe and the three-quarter shoe, while the short packages, H1996-5 and H1997-5, ship two back shoes, four pins and a choice of one: three-quarter shoe, half shoe or segment set. Ben Pearson marks its back shoes "2 required" as well. Sizes track the dies: back shoes 1/2 in. to 3 in. plus 40 to 60 mm, half shoes 1/2 in. to 3 in. plus 40, 42, 45, 48, 50, 55 and 60 mm, three-quarter shoes 1-1/4 in. to 3 in. plus 40 to 60 mm, square back shoes 3/4 in. to 3 in., plus 1021 and 1022 for 2 x 3 in. tube.
Collets, holders and reducers
Huth clamp collets run 3/4 in. and 1 in. EMT, then 1 in. through 2-1/2 in., plus 2-3/4, 2-7/8 and 3 in., and metric sizes at 40, 42, 45, 48, 50, 55 and 60 mm. The three largest, 1729, 1731 and 1730, are marked as requiring the 892 collet holder; note that the 892 listing itself describes it as the 2-3/4 in. and 3 in. holder for the 1729 and 1730, so confirm the 1731 against your machine before ordering. Part 891 is the post-February-1985 holder for 1700 series collets, and 1720DF is a 2 in. double-flare collet for the 518 tool.
The 23 reducing dies step tube down from 1-1/4 to 1-1/8 in. up through 3 to 2-1/2 in. Most drop one size, but a few skip one, such as 783 (3 in. straight to 2-1/2 in., against 790 for 3 in. to 2-3/4 in.) and Ben Pearson 61254 (2-1/4 in. to 1-7/8 in.). Metric steps are 50-45, 55-50 and 65-60 mm, and two conduit reducers cover 3/4 in. EMT, down to .799 in. OD, part 775, and 1 in. EMT, down to 1.024 in. OD, part 779. Their listing note is explicit: a reducing die requires a clamp collet holder, 890, 891 or 892. Ben Pearson collets are one-piece parts from 1-1/4 in. to 3 in.
Arbors and segments for expanding and end forming
Expanding work needs an arbor inside the tube and a segment set around it, and the arbor is most often ordered wrong. Unlike dies and shoes, arbors and segments are listed by inside diameter, because the arbor works inside the tube. Huth lists 575 for 15/16 in. to 1-1/4 in. ID with the 570 spacer, 500 for 1-3/16 in. to 1-1/2 in., 508 for 1-3/8 in. to 4 in. ID with the 498 and 499 tips, 572 and 573 as one-piece equivalents, 503 for 2-3/4 in. to 5-1/2 in. ID, and 574 for 2-7/8 in. to 6 in. ID on the H1674 only. Arbors 495, 496 and 497 are marked for 1680 and 1685 models only, and the 497 additionally requires the 498 and 499 tips, sold separately.
Segment sets cover 15/16 in. to 5-1/2 in. ID in overlapping ranges, and each names the arbor it runs on. Sets 403, 406, 408, 450 and 451 all take the 503 arbor and additionally require an adjustable collar sized to your cylinder: 512 for a 3 in. cylinder, 523 for a 3-1/2 in. cylinder, both covering 2-3/4 in. through 5-1/2 in. Segments 481 through 486 are 1674 parts that run with the 574 arbor. All six come 3 in. long; 482 through 486 also come 5 in. long with a -5 suffix, and 481 alone has a 4-1/4 in. version, 481-4. Specialty segments follow the same pattern: ball joint 1-3/4 in. to 3-1/2 in., bead forming 1-1/4 in. to 4 in., V-band 2 in. to 3 in., 45-degree flaring 1-1/8 in. to 3-1/2 in. Most Huth segment sets have a matching replacement tooth listed separately under the same number in the 600 series, and each set listing names the replacement rings it consumes: rubber o-ring, steel o-ring or urethane ring, depending on the segment. The Ben Pearson segments and the header flange segments 360 through 363 have no separate tooth listed.
Swaging, flaring and end shaping
Swage dies cover 1 in. to 3 in. under Huth part numbers 110 through 178, including 1-5/16 in. (156) and the metric sizes 40, 42, 45, 48, 50, 55 and 60 mm (140 to 160), and 1-1/4 in. to 3 in. under Ben Pearson. Part 853 is the pipe flanger for 1-1/2 in. to 3 in. and replaces the older 848 through 851; 518 does a 2 in. double flare and a 1-1/2 in. flat flare; 519 does 1-3/4 in. and 1-5/8 in. double flat flares. Pipe end shapers repair dented pipe ends: the 982 works on pipe 2 in. to 5 in. in diameter, the 984 up to 3 in.

A package is usually the safer buy, because it already accounts for the pair of back shoes and the die pins.

Bending fabrication packages are also listed by the exact stock they bend: 1.050 through 2.375 in. OD schedule 40 pipe, 0.922 and 1.163 in. OD EMT conduit, 1.000 and 1.250 in. OD tube, flat stock and square stock to 2-1/2 in. The part number suffix is the radius.
Machine-side parts: hydraulics, power and controls
Beyond tooling, this category carries 121 parts in the Huth 92000 hydraulic series and 120 in the 95000 electrical series, plus the power units, which carry their own numbers: 1612 for the 1685 and 1617 for the 1690 and 1691. Those two series cover main, side, double-end, swage and expanding cylinders with their seal kits, pumps, the bending control valve 92101, DO3 directional valves in 110 V (92171), 230 V (92164) and 24 V (92168), filters, gauges, JIC and NPT fittings and hoses from 13 in. to 62 in.
Replacement motors are listed by horsepower, phase, frequency and voltage rather than as one generic part, so match the plate on your machine: 3 hp single phase; 5 hp in single and three phase at 50 Hz; 5 hp single phase at 60 Hz; 5 hp at 550 V; the HB10 motors 95022 and 95023, single and three phase at 50 Hz; 7-1/2 hp in single and three phase; and 10 hp single phase at 60 Hz. Part 95070 is spelled out as single phase, 220 V, 60 Hz, 1,740 rpm, TEFC, direct pump. Starters, contactors and overloads are listed for both phases, with plugs and receptacles for 110 V 30 A, 220 V 20 A, single-phase 250 V 50 A, three-phase 250 V and three-phase 480 V. Pedal parts 95419-96 and 95458-96 are marked for HB05 and HB10 machines built after March 2020.
What the machine has to be able to do
Capacity is not only a tooling question, but the limit that gets quoted most often applies to square stock, not round. The Huth square die listing states it plainly: 3 in. bending requires a heavy duty bender model with a 6 in. cylinder and 85,000 pounds of force. That is why 5330, the 6 in. radius square die for 3 in. square, carries that note, why the 3 in. square back shoe 1030 carries it too, and why the 6 in. main cylinder, part 92382, is listed as a service part. Three inch round tube is a different case: the 5530 die carries no machine restriction, and the wrinkle-die table lists 5530W with a model column that reads ALL. The one round exception is the 5531, the 5-1/2 in. radius wrinkle die for 3 in. round, whose listing restricts it to the 2600 heavy duty bender: its model column reads 2600 while every other wrinkle die in the same table reads ALL. Confirm your cylinder before you buy a 3 in. square die.
Floor space, ceiling height, air supply and oil specification are not published on accessory listings; consult the spec sheet for your bender model. Safety hardware that is listed includes guard kits 41050 for 3 in. cylinders and 41051 for 3-1/2 in. cylinders, plus 29 replacement decals.
Ben Pearson parts by model family
The 158 Ben Pearson parts follow their own logic. Arbor bolts split by machine family and by size. For MC machines, 61261 covers 1-1/4 to 1-3/8 in.; 60356 covers 1-1/2 in. and is listed for MC/MCHS. For BP and MB machines, 62659 covers 1-1/4 to 1-3/8 in. and is marked BP and MB models only; 62059 covers 1-1/2 to 4 in. and is listed for BP, MB and 3012. Full radius dies are listed at 3, 4 and 5 in. radius, covering 3/4 in. to 3 in. across the three radii, though not every size exists at every radius. Square radius dies run 1-1/4 in. to 2-1/2 in. (63314, 63312, 63320, 63325, 63350). Back and half shoes run 3/4 in. to 3 in., three-quarter shoes 1-1/4 in. to 3 in., square back shoes 3/4 in. to 2-1/2 in., and swage dies 1-1/4 in. to 3 in., plus Chev flange segments in 2 in. and 2-1/4 in. and Buick ball segments from 2 in. to 3 in. Huth 524 and 824 adapt Pearson tooling to Huth machines.
Listing details to check before ordering
Part 5530 appears twice with nearly identical titles: SKU Huth-5530 is the smooth 3 in. die at 5 in. radius, and SKU Huth-5530W is the wrinkle version, whose title also reads 5530. Two listings also share the description 4 in. radius die, 2-1/2 in.: parts 4212 and 4409. Only 4409 appears in the Huth die table, so confirm which one your machine takes. The SKU and the parts table inside the listing are the reliable identifiers, not the title. Several tables also name companion parts not sold here, such as collet holder 890 and flangers 848 through 851.
A few parts are described two ways. Flanger 853 is 1-1/2 in. to 3 in. on its own listing but 1-1/2 in. to 3-1/2 in. inside packages H1988 and H1992. Arbor 508 is 1-3/8 in. to 4 in. on its own listing and 1-1/2 in. to 4 in. inside H1993. The collet table marks 1729, 1731 and 1730 as requiring holder 892, while the 892 listing names only 1729 and 1730. Go by the part listing, and confirm the 1731 with us before ordering.
Frequently asked questions
How do I pick the right die size?
Measure the outside diameter, not the nominal trade size, then choose the centerline radius the job requires. Pipe and conduit are listed by true OD, so 1 in. EMT is the 1.163 in. die and 1/2 in. schedule 40 pipe is the 0.840 in. die. Only .840 in., .922 in., 1.050 in. and 1.163 in. have dies named by the OD itself; other pipe sizes are matched to the nearest fractional or metric die. For example, 1-1/4 in. schedule 40 pipe measures 1.660 in. OD and is bent with the 42 mm die, part 3042, 4042 or 5042, with back shoe 1342, which is how the 1928 fab packs are named: 1.660 OD SCH 40 / 42MM. Check the fab pack table before ordering. Metric sizes are separate parts, except 54 mm, which is the 2-1/8 in. die.
Why do the packages include two back shoes?
Because the listings specify two. Huth states that round back shoes are required in pairs and that each takes two 855 die pins, sold separately, and Ben Pearson marks its back shoes the same way. Square back shoes are required in pairs as well, but their listings state that the pins or bolts they need are included.
Can my bender handle 3 in. tube?
For 3 in. round tube, yes on a standard machine: the 5530 die and its 5530W wrinkle version are listed for all models, and the H1992 package is built for benders with 700 or 1700 series collets, standard from September 1981 on. The heavy duty requirement applies to 3 in. square stock: the 5330 square die listing states that 3 in. bending requires a heavy duty bender model with a 6 in. cylinder and 85,000 pounds of force, and the 3 in. square back shoe 1030 carries the same note. The 5531 wrinkle die is restricted differently again, to the 2600 heavy duty bender only.
Will a segment set work with the arbor I already own?
Each segment listing names its arbor. Sets 470 and 404 take the 575 with the 570 spacer, and 400 takes the 500. Sets 472 and 473 take either the one-piece 572 or a 508 arbor with the 498 tip; 474 through 478 take either the one-piece 573 or a 508 with the 499 tip, so if you already own a 508 and its tips you do not need a new arbor. Sets 403 through 451 take the 503 plus the collar that matches your cylinder, 512 for a 3 in. cylinder or 523 for a 3-1/2 in. The segment tables list 497, or 495 and 496 for the smaller ranges, as the 1685 alternative; note that the arbor listings themselves say 1680/1685, so confirm against your model.
Are parts still listed for older Huth benders?
Yes. H1993 is listed for benders with 200 series collets and a cam action or spin close holder, standard from 1955 to September 1981, while H1992 covers the 700 and 1700 series clamp-style collets fitted from September 1981 on. Which collet system your machine has decides the package and the holder, so check that before ordering.
