Tire Replacements

No tires here: the 13 items are AME International wheel-end hardware for trucks and buses — four nuts and nine wheel guards.

The skirted sleeve nuts are M22-1.5 with 19, 28 and 39 mm sleeves. The sleeve fills the gap between the stud and the stud hole and offers more thread engagement; lengths are designated by axle, 19 mm for aluminum steers up to 39 mm for dual aluminum drives. A 33 mm skirt nut replaces M22 flange nuts.

The wheel guards are composite separator plates that sit between hub or drum and wheel, or between duals, stopping rust, scale and salt and preventing galvanic electrolysis between aluminum and steel wheels. Patterns are 8- and 10-hole, 6 1/2 in./170 mm Ford to 335 mm, including 11 1/4 in. stud-piloted and 285.75 mm hub-piloted Unimount.
