This section of the JMC Automotive Equipment catalog holds 156 specialty service tools and the individual replacement pieces that go with them. Three brands are listed here: Assenmacher Specialty Tools (121 items), Lisle (34 items) and Trac (1 item, the TRAC Tire Jack). Everything is sold new. Stock is not shown item by item; every page says to call for details, so confirm availability on anything you need this week. If you already know the part number, typing it into the site search is the fastest route, because these tools are almost always specified by number rather than by description.
One thing worth saying plainly: despite the section name, this is shop tooling, not vehicle service parts. What you will find are engine timing sets, driveline fluid fillers, cooling system tank adapters, turbo leak-test kits, broken-bolt drill templates, application-specific sockets, plus fuel-system and brake service tools, clamp and hose pliers, and stud extractors. Vehicle lifts, tire changers and alignment equipment live in other sections of the site; the one wheel-handling item here, the TRAC Tire Jack, is a manual dolly used after the vehicle is already up on a floor jack.

What is actually in this section
Engine timing and camshaft locking
Eleven timing sets and timing tool kits cover BMW, Mini, Ford, Lincoln, Jaguar, Land Rover, GM, Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep and Cummins, and VW/Audi is covered by the single-purpose timing tools listed below. These have the tightest application windows in the section. The Assenmacher BMW2026 covers N20 and N26 2.0L turbo engines; the MCB4648 covers the newer BMW and Mini B36, B38, B46, B48 and B58 engines and ships in a storage case (the product name reads B38/B46/B48 and the SKU codes 46 and 48, while the listing paragraph writes B460 and B480). The MC1800 covers the Mini Cooper N18 turbo only. Its listing names Assenmacher's MC1400 for N14 turbo engines and the MC1216SET for N12 and N16 non-turbo engines; neither is listed on this site, so call 800-562-4791 to have one sourced.
On the Ford side, the F1616T sets timing on the 1.6L naturally aspirated and the 1.5L/1.6L EcoBoost, the F20T covers the 2.0L EcoBoost and its application list adds the 2.3L turbo Focus RS and Mustang, the F1248 covers 2.7L EcoBoost, 3.3L and 3.5L Duratec, 3.5L EcoBoost and 3.7L engines, and the F1655 covers the second-generation 3.5L EcoBoost. Read those last two carefully: the F1655 page directs earlier 3.5L engines to the F1248.
Alongside the full sets are single-purpose locking and holding tools: the BMW74220 crankshaft holder for the N20, the BMW11720 balance shaft tool, the F16393 Ford 1.5L/1.6L flywheel lock, and on the VW/Audi side the T 40133 camshaft clamp and the T 40071 five-piece locking pin set for chain tensioners.
Driveline and transmission fluid filling
The Assenmacher fluid filling system is built around an 8-liter drum. The ATF BASIC and ATF FILLER assemblies pair that drum with a hand pump, hose and an on/off ball valve. Both listings are explicit about one limitation: those assemblies fill only, they do not drain, so clean fluid stays clean, and they are not suitable for fuels or solvents. The drum is UHDP (ultra high density polyethylene), and the newer design adds a second port for adding or dumping fluid without pulling the pump.
Two manufacturer kits are live on the site: the ATFMB19 for Mercedes 722.9 and 725 transmissions and the ATFEURO10 for Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Porsche, Volkswagen and Volvo. The six-piece VW/Audi kit, ATFAUVW6, is listed but not set up for online ordering; its adapters are the ATF103, ATF104, ATF105 (listed for VW/Audi and Mini), ATF16DSG, ATF17CVT and ATF24ST, and five of those six are listed individually on the site, the ATF103 and ATF104 in this section. Individual adapters are listed with their thread sizes published, so you can add one platform without buying another kit: ATF61GM is M6 x 1 for GM 8L45, 8L90 and 10L90 transmissions; ATF125NIS is M12 x 1.25 for the Nissan CVT; ATF180 is M8 x 1.0 for 2008 and newer Infiniti models with seven-speed automatics and Nissan trucks with the RE7R01B transmission; ATFSU118 is M18 x 1.5 for the Subaru front differential.
Cooling system tank adapters
Five FZ adapters let a pressure tester thread onto a coolant reservoir instead of a filler neck, and they are chosen by thread, not by vehicle. FZ25 is M47 x 3; FZ41 is M63 x 3 buttress, listed for VW/Audi models; FZ47 is M49 x 2.5 buttress, with a long Ford application list. Note that FZ32A and FZ35A both list M52 x 2.5 buttress threads and overlapping applications, so confirm which one matches your tank before ordering.
Turbo and boost leak testing
Two Lisle kits plug the turbo outlet and the intake inlet so air and smoke can be pushed through the charge system. The 69910 is the car and light truck kit, with six pairs of stepped adapters; the 69930 is the heavy-duty kit with four pairs sized for light-duty trucks through Class 7 and 8 semis. Both include a pressure gauge, a shut-off valve and a pressure regulator, plus a T-adapter for connecting a smoke machine.
Broken exhaust manifold bolts
Eight Lisle drill templates remove broken exhaust manifold bolts without damaging the cylinder head, each dedicated to an engine family: 71350 (Ford 6.0L and 6.4L diesel, currently not set up for online ordering), 71400 (GM LS III 4.8L, 5.3L and 6.0L, 1999 and newer), 71500 (Dodge 5.7L Hemi), 71600 (Ford 4.6L, 5.4L and 6.8L V10 Triton, 2-valve and 3-valve), 71650 (GM EcoTec3 5.3L and 6.2L), 72350 (Ford 7.3L diesel), 72400 (Duramax 6.6L up to 2017) and 72450 (Ford 6.2L). All work the same way: tapered bolts center the base plate, a slip-fit bushing lets you move hole to hole without repositioning it, and a bushing is included for drilling to tap size when the extractor cannot be used. Several add a drill depth gauge so the water jacket is not pierced.
Sockets, hammer nuts and funnels
Application-specific sockets run from 1/4 in. drive through 3/4 in. drive: BMW10170 is a 10 mm socket, 1/4 in. drive, 170 mm overall; MSP1420 is a magnetic 14 mm 12-point spark plug socket on 3/8 in. drive, 72.4 mm long; TOY105 is a #8 bi-hexagon head bolt socket, 1/2 in. drive, 100 mm overall; 6500X-32 is a 32 mm axle nut socket on 3/4 in. drive.
Eight hammer nuts thread fully onto a threaded shaft so an impact hammer can drive it; the listings insist the nut be threaded all the way on before striking. The sizes are M10 x 1.5, M12 x 1.25, M12 x 1.5, M14 x 1.5, M14 x 2.0, M16 x 1.5, M16 x 2.0 and M24 x 1.5. Six are described for breaking free steering knuckle and suspension joints. The other two are the odd ones out: the TM1015 (M10 x 1.5) is listed for Ford Escape tie rod ends and the TM2415 (M24 x 1.5) for hammering out axle shafts on Nissan and Tesla models. Five of the eight publish a hex size, four at 22 mm and the TM1615 at 24 mm.
Two complete funnels are listed: the OFCRY36 for Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep 3.6L engines, and the OFTOY1038 for Toyota and Lexus threaded oil caps (Prius and Yaris also need the OFT38 extension). The OFHC5767 is a funnel and adapter for 5.7L Hemi and 5.9L/6.7L Cummins. The OFCM-1, FUN14EURO and OFAAGM are adapters and extensions only, and their pages say so: they need the FUN19KIT or another funnel bought separately. The OFAAGM adds GM coverage, 2013-2014 Silverado and Sierra gas and 2017-2019 Duramax.
Brake, fuel line, injector, clamp and stud tools
About thirty listings sit outside the groups above and are easy to miss. Brake service: the EU2009 9 mm bleeder wrench, the EU2090 brake caliper socket, the BMW2510 BMW 3-pin rear brake piston tool and the Lisle 28600 rear disc brake adjuster, plus the HONBC26 and TOY18B bleeder adapters covered further down. Fuel and coolant lines: the 1018 10-piece line disconnect set, the 8028 Subaru fuel line disconnect tool, the Lisle 67000 master line stopper set and the Lisle 22720 3/8 in. Jiffy-tite disconnect. Injector work: the 8027 Duramax fuel injector release tool, the GM245 fuel injector seal tools, the JLR9899 and the BMW5532. Clamp and hose pliers: the M2000CP fuel/EVAP clamp pliers, the SCP2014 spring clamp pliers, the 2017SACP swivel hose clamp pliers and the Lisle 22850 hose pinchers. Stud extractors: the 201-7 5-piece metric stud puller set and the 200-18 18 mm stud extractor/installer. Also here: the BMW540 and BMW560 Vanos fixtures, the Lisle 28100 torque angle meter, the Lisle 65250 bearing packer, the Lisle 36200 magnetic valve keeper remover and installer, the TOY647LG oil filter wrench, the CRY323 Dodge/Jeep transmission dipstick, the 3810 6-piece file set, the 3424 spreader and the WSFLCPLUS magnetic base with flexible cable.
Heavy truck and diesel
A distinct group serves Class 7 and 8 work: the HTLP100 universal cylinder liner puller for Caterpillar, Cummins, Detroit Diesel, Mercedes OM460 and Volvo D13 engines; the DD463 barring tool for Detroit Diesel DD13, DD15 and DD16, and the DDF19 injector feed tube socket, whose specification line covers DD13 and DD15; the CM3021 timing set and CM369 gear puller for Cummins ISX and X15; the VTC100 66 in. coolant drain hose for Volvo D11, D12 and D13 and Mack MP7, MP8 and MP10; and the INT100 drain hose for International and Freightliner Cascadia.
One outlier: wheel handling
One item sits apart from everything else here: the TRAC Tire Jack, a manual wheel-handling dolly of welded steel, 8 lbs, 18.5 in. long x 5 in. wide x 2 in. high. It is not a vehicle lift. You raise the vehicle off the ground with a floor jack first, then slide the TRAC Tire Jack under the tire and use leverage to lift the tire away from the vehicle. It is also the only item in this section flagged for free shipping.
What you need to use these tools
Nothing in this section requires an electrical hookup, a concrete anchor or a minimum ceiling height. What some items do require is compressed air or another tool. The Lisle 18980 is driven by an air hammer and drives out u-joint caps up to 1-5/16 in. diameter; its page warns that on some vehicles the u-joint is retained with plastic from the factory, which must be removed before driving the caps out. The Lisle 17350 pipe stretcher is driven by an impact wrench and expands exhaust pipe from 1-5/8 in. to 4-1/4 in. The hammer nuts need an impact hammer. The turbo kits need shop air and, to trace a leak visually, a smoke machine that is not part of the kit. The TRAC Tire Jack is a tire handling dolly, not a vehicle lift: the vehicle still has to be raised on a floor jack first, then the jack slides under the tire.
Several items are deliberately partial, and the listings say so. The HONBC26 (56 mm) and TOY18B (fits a 42 mm ID reservoir) brake adapters both need a pressure bleeder and a 1/4-18 NPT fitting that is not included, and the TOY18B page warns to use low hydraulic pressure only. The eight drill templates give you the base plate and bushings; every page has you finish the job with a screw extractor, which is not listed as part of any template, and you supply the drill. The VTC100 attaches to a radiator quick-connect fitting that is not included. The JLR20T must be used with the F20T set, the JLR5037 crank holder and JLR5038 crank socket work as a pair, and the ATFMB725 set requires the ATF129 adapter and ATFBASIC; the ATFMB725 is also the one listing here written to drain as well as fill, and it covers Nissan Titan and Frontier 2020 and newer with the nine-speed transmission in addition to the Mercedes 725. If a requirement is not printed on the model's page, ask before ordering.
Certifications and label claims
No product page in this section claims an ALI, ETL or ASME listing. What the pages do declare is worth reading. Sixty-four of the 156 items carry a California Prop 65 warning. Fifty-three list a comparable tool number, and 52 of those name the factory or OEM tool they replace, which is the practical way to confirm equivalence before you buy; the exception is the FUN14EURO, which points to another Assenmacher part rather than to a factory tool. Seven state US manufacture of the tool or its container, and the T 40071 locking pin set states Made in Germany. The 3705 flexible nut driver carries a 5-year warranty, and the FUN19KIT page warns that brake parts cleaner or a parts washer on the plastic voids the warranty.
Two listings contradict themselves and are worth flagging. The BMW4640 is named a BMW camshaft spanner socket, but the body text on that page describes a different product, the T 4306 Audi 3.0L camshaft alignment set. The FUN19KIT is named a 6-piece set while its text describes a funnel plus seven adapters. In both cases the product name and the spec list are the reliable part and the marketing paragraph is not, so confirm by phone before ordering either one.
Timing set comparison
Read the years column carefully. Some pages bracket the years on the engine specification line and others give them only in the vehicle application list, so each cell below says which source it comes from, and where a page disagrees with itself that is noted too.

Five of the twelve individual adapters are orderable online right now: the 46/51 mm pair (69730 plugged, 69740 air fitting), the 85/90 mm pair (69810, 69820) and the 55/60 mm air fitting (69760). The rest of the adapters show on the site but are not set up for online ordering, so call 800-562-4791 for those. The 95/100 mm and 105/110 mm sizes appear only on the 69930 parts list, as 69850/69860 and 69870/69880, and are not sold as separate products here.
Questions buyers ask
Are these the same as the dealer factory tools?
They are aftermarket equivalents, not OEM-branded tools. What makes the comparison checkable is that 53 of the 156 listings print a comparable tool number, and 52 of those name the factory tool they replace, such as Ford 303-1655 or Cummins 3163021. Match that number against the service procedure you are following.
How do I find the right tool for my engine?
Search the part number if you have it from a service bulletin. If you do not, most product pages carry a year, make and model application list, and many name the engine code directly: BMW N20 and N26, VW/Audi CAEB, Detroit Diesel DD13. When a model year and an engine code disagree, go by the engine code; that is what these tools are cut to fit.
Should I buy the 69910 or the 69930 turbo test kit?
The 69910 is described for cars and light trucks, with six pairs of adapters covering 1-1/4 in. through 3-1/2 in. of charge piping. The 69930 is described for light-duty trucks through Class 7 and 8 semis, with four pairs covering 3 in. through 4-1/4 in. The two overlap at 75/80 mm and 85/90 mm, so at those sizes either kit works. Choose by vehicle class as the listings do, and by whether you need the 95/100 mm and 105/110 mm sizes, which only the 69930 carries. Both use the same 69840 regulator hose and gauge.
Can I buy just the piece I broke?
Often yes. This section lists standalone replacement items on purpose: twelve individual turbo adapters, five of which are set up for online ordering; the 69840 regulator hose and gauge, whose page names it as a replacement part for both the 69910 and the 69930; and the ATF pump, hose, valve assembly and spare 8-liter drum. The Lisle 38210 page publishes its two component numbers, 39250 and 39300, and both are on the site. The 17350 publishes its full callout list too, but those pieces are not set up as separate products here, so call with the callout number. A few pieces here are spares for tools sold elsewhere: the 69830 case is listed as an accessory for the Lisle 69700, which is not listed on this site and is itself not set up for online ordering, and the 22720 disconnect is a replacement part for the Lisle 22710, which is on the site but not in this section. Check the parent tool number before ordering a spare on its own.
Do I need shop air?
Only for specific tools. The turbo test kits, the 18980 pneumatic u-joint driver, the 17350 pipe stretcher and the HONBC26 brake adapter, whose listing calls for a regulated air supply, rely on compressed air or an air-driven tool. The TOY18B is the exception among the brake adapters: its page calls for low hydraulic pressure only. The timing sets, sockets, funnels, hammer nuts and drill templates do not need air at all.
A spec I need is not on the page. Who do I ask?
Call 800-562-4791 or order online. In this category a single thread pitch or drive size is the difference between the right tool and a returned one, so ask rather than inferring a dimension from a similar part number.
