Match the accessory to the lift type first

These accessories split by the kind of lift they bolt to, and almost nothing crosses over:

• Two-post lifts. Arm-end hardware: lift pads, screw pads, frame cradle pads, stack adapters, arm kits, column height extensions, adapter organizer racks. Pin diameter rules everything here.
• Four-post lifts. Rolling bridge jacks, jack trays, drip trays, approach and pivoting ramps, caster kits, air lines routed under the runways, alignment conversion kits.
• Scissor and low-rise lifts. Recessed pit frames, extended wheel stops, air line kits, and QSP stainless inserts sized to 24 in. and 28 in. Wheeltronic scissor lifts.
• Mobile column lifts. Heavy-duty support stands, cross beam adapters, light-vehicle adapter kits and forklift spacers from iDEAL and Challenger.
• Portable lifts. QuickJack frame extension kits, pinch-weld blocks and crossbeam adapters; MaxJax adapters and anchor bolt kits.

Lift pads and adapters: pin diameter decides for you

Two-post adapters mount on a pin, and the pin diameter is not interchangeable. BendPak adapters come in 35 mm, 50 mm and 60 mm pin sizes and APEX in 50 mm, while Challenger's two-post height hardware is a drop-in stack design rather than a pin-diameter system. That does not remove the fitment question: Challenger's 10317 reducer bushing kit is required when its frame-engaging adapters are used on 15,000 lb. and 18,000 lb. lifts. Measure the pin at your arm end, and confirm your lift model, before ordering anything.

Height is the second decision. Challenger states the logic plainly on the 10313: pull out the screw pad, drop in the stack adapter extension, put the screw pad back, and you reach lifting points on vehicles with running boards or side steps. The Challenger 10315 kit bundles four 3 in. stack adapters, two 6 in. stack adapters and two organizer racks with hardware, for 10,000 and 12,000 lb. two-post lifts. Note: the listings state these heights inconsistently. The same nominal 2.75 in. is given as 70 mm on the 35 mm pin adapter and as 63 mm on the 60 mm pin adapter, and the tall adapters are listed as 140 mm (35 mm pin) and as 5.5 in. / 125 mm (60 mm pin), while BendPak's own text says a tall adapter extends the pad by 5.5 in. If clearance is tight, ask us to confirm the height against the current spec sheet before you order.

For frame lifting rather than pinch-weld lifting, look at frame cradle pads, offered by BendPak in 35 mm, 50 mm and 60 mm plus a 60 mm set specified for 2016-and-up lifts, and at Tuxedo spin-up cradle adapters, matched to specific models such as the TP11DX-SPNCA for the TP11KC-DX. On two-post lifts, the electric vehicle item is the Challenger EVFPK footpad kit, a set of four designed to support select electric vehicles and stated to fit most Challenger two-post lifts.

EV battery and component work uses a different family, and it is not two-post arm hardware. The BendPak EV Lift Arm Kit attaches to the lift deck and supports large, heavy or awkward vehicle components with four telescoping arms, four adjustable-height contact pads and four stackable adapters, at 600 lb. of capacity at each arm. It supports components, it does not lift a vehicle. Alongside it BendPak lists the EV Lift Transjack Receiver Plate Kit, the Mobi-EVS Universal Adapter Plate Kit and the EV2400SL Multi-Point Sup. Rolling bridge jacks and jack trays

A four-post lift holds the vehicle by its wheels, so any wheel, brake or suspension work needs a bridge jack. The two BendPak rolling jacks here bracket most of the market:

• BendPak RJ45W (BP-5175247), 4,500 lb. capacity, for HD-7, HD-9 and GP-9 series lifts. Support base width 35.5 - 46.5 in., arm reach 42 - 57 in., pad-only range 4.5 - 15.5 in., extending to 10 - 21 in. with the 5.5 in. adapter. Air/hydraulic pump, 125 PSI air, 2,490 PSI maximum hydraulic pressure, 55-second lifting time.
• BendPak RJ7W (BP-5175249), 7,000 lb. capacity with easy-roll wheels, built for the HDS-14 series and specified for four-post lifts of 14,000 lb. capacity or greater. Minimum drive-over height 4 in. and maximum lifting height 14.75 in. (pad only), arm reach 42 - 56 in., 4,550 psi maximum hydraulic pressure, three safety-lock positions.

One caution on the RJ7W: its specification table lists a minimum operating air pressure of 100 psi, while a setup paragraph on the same listing asks for 125 PSI and 10-20 CFM. Size your air supply to the higher figure so the jack cycles properly.

A less expensive route to the same capability is a jack tray. The BendPak JP45 telescoping tray holds one or two bottle jacks, sold separately, and fits most four-post lifts with an arm span of 35.75 in. to 44 in. Capacity is 4,500 lb. per tray, but the usage limits matter: a single jack centered on the tray must not exceed 3,500 lb., and two jacks must sit at least 12 in. apart at no more than 2,250 lb. each. Challenger's CL4P9JT tray is rated 4,500 lb.

Bridge jacks need air at the runway, and the kits are model-locked. BendPak offers four, each hiding the line beneath the runways and feeding two jacks: 5174008 for XR series scissor lifts, 5174009 for HD-9/HD-14, 5174010 for HD-18/27/35 and 5174011 for HD-18E/27X/35X/40X, following the product names. BendPak's own cross-reference inside the listings writes these last two as HDS-18/27/35 and HDS-27X/35X/40X, so order by your exact lift model. Challenger's 40230-X covers the 4P12XFX, 4P14XFX and 4015X, and the 44AK18 fits the 18,000 lb. 44018, 44018AR and 44018E. AMGO's 40102A lists the PRO-12, PRO-12A, PRO-12SX, PRO-12ASX, PRO-14, PRO-14A, PRO-14E, PRO-14AE, PRO-18 and PRO-18A by name, though the product title reads 'less than 18K'; AMGO's 40106A is the heavy-duty four-post version. If you run a PRO-18 or PRO-18A, confirm with us which kit ships. Hose length varies by lift model, so order by model, not capacity.

Hydraulic power units: voltage and pressure, in that order

A power unit replacement comes down to the power available at the bay, the pressure the lift needs, and how fast you want it to rise. The 110V units here draw 15 to 20 amps, a dedicated circuit in practice; the 220V units are single phase.

The short-tank PU-110V-S-S is the same SPX unit as the PU-110V-L-S and is currently listed as out of stock.

The Tuxedo PU-220V-L-H-X is described as fitting almost every two-post or four-post lift up to 10,000 lb. capacity. Its listing is inconsistent about the shutoff: the model name and the summary say it comes without a cut off, while one feature line claims an overhead kill switch. Go with the model name, and if your lift requires a cut-off, order the PU-S-AB-1270, which is listed 'with cut off', or ask us to confirm before it ships. Both BendPak units use power-up, gravity-down operation and are rated for a -13 to 175 degrees F range on petroleum-based fluid, optimum viscosity 15 - 68 cSt. If your power unit sits on the floor, the Challenger 10370-00 two-piece stand raises it, suits inground and short-rise lifts, and replaces four older stands.

Ramps, and the space they need

Approach ramp length is a floor-space decision. Challenger's pivoting kits run 36 in. (44RK30), 39 in. (44RK18), 52 in. (44RKE18) and 72 in. (44RKE30), with a fixed 96 in. kit (44RK40) for the longest approaches; the 10266L is 48 in. and specified for low-profile vehicles. BendPak sells ramps per lift family: a 36 in. aluminum approach kit, a 48 in. aluminum kit for HD-7 and HD-9 series, and 48 in. steel kits sized separately for HD-7/HD-9, HDS-14, HDS-18/HDS-27 and HDS-35/HDS-40.

Norco 20-ton truck ramps are a different tool: they are stand-alone drive-on ramps that elevate the front or rear of a vehicle for frame and component access, rated 10 ton per ramp. They are chosen by tread width, up to 10 in. (82019) or up to 16 in. (82020).

Turning a service lift into an alignment lift

Challenger's 40200-3D bolt-on alignment kit is 3D alignment capable and fits 4P12 series and 4015 series four-post lifts. It is priced per piece and ships without turning radius gauges. Challenger lists radius gauges separately: the 10500SS in stainless steel and the 10500HD in black powder coat are the ones currently available to order, while the 10500 (14 x 14 x 1.5 in. high, listed as compatible with the 44018 lift) is not. Kit versions that include turn plates are the 40200-3DBK and 40200-3DSS. Confirm the gauge against your lift model before ordering.

For the rear of the rack, QSP slip plate add-on kits are sized by runway length and width, all powder coated black and all supplied without turn plates. The base DB-6000 set of two covers standard lengths of 187 in. - 204 in. The DB-6000-22, for 22 in. runways, comes with an 80 in. rear slip plate and a 224 in. length. The DB-6000-24, for 24 in. runways, also carries the 80 in. rear slip plate and is offered at 224, 220, 216, 207 and 194 in. Custom lengths are quoted on request.

Air, power and light at the lift

The BendPak WSA-100 workstation fits two-post and four-post lifts and carries four 110V outlets with 20 amp industrial GFI protection plus two air outlets, one lubricated for tire inflation and one clean for pneumatic tools. Challenger's 10310, for four-post lifts only, includes a filter, lubricator and regulator plus a GFCI-protected 110V outlet, and mounts to any column of a Challenger four-post lift. For releasing BendPak four-post safety locks and inflating tires where there is no air drop at the lift, the BendPak GoAir mini compressor runs on 110VAC at 2 A with a 0.5 gal (2 liter) tank and 120 psi maximum. It is not sized to run a rolling bridge jack, which asks for shop air at 125 PSI and 10-20 CFM. For under-vehicle light, the AMGO 40103 LED kit uses four aluminum-PCB strips on magnetic brackets: 110-220VAC input, 25W, 2880 lumens at 5000K.

Jack plates, cribbing, chocks and loose hydraulics

AME International's 101 items cover the heavy-duty side. Titan jack plates have a non-skid surface to keep a bottle jack or ram from sliding on a wet or oily floor, and AME states they comply with OSHA regulation 29 CFR 1926.305, which calls for the base of a jack to be blocked or cribbed where a firm foundation is needed. Sizes run from 12 x 12 x 1 in. up to the 14463 at 36 x 36 x 3 in., 135 lb., rated 200 tons. Super Stacker cribbing starts at the 15200, 2 x 4 x 18 in. and 6.6 lb., and scales through 6 x 12 x 24 in. slabs. Wheel chocks are selected by tire diameter, not vehicle weight, and the range is continuous from light commercial to mining equipment: 15.75 - 35.43 in. (size 5502), 35.43 - 55.12 in. (5503), 47.24 - 70.87 in. (5535), 47.24 - 86 in. (5537), 70.87 - 118.11 in. (5504), 86.61 - 137.80 in. (5505) and 110 - 165.35 in. (5506).

ESCO, AME and Norco supply the loose hydraulics that go with them. The ESCO 10875 Yellow Jackit air/hydraulic pump has a 5-quart plastic reservoir and works up to 10,000 PSI. AME's Titan line makes the pressure choice explicit with three otherwise similar 2.5-quart aluminum-reservoir pumps rated 10,000 PSI, 5,500 PSI and 3,900 PSI. Norco's 910019B electro-hydraulic Z series pump is two-speed and handles single-acting cylinders up to 100 ton. AME hydraulic hoses run 6, 8, 10, 12 and 18 ft., all rated 10,000 PSI (700 bar); ESCO supplies 8 ft. and 18 ft. hose assemblies with couplers.

What the installation actually requires

Anchor specifications are per lift, not per category. The one kit on this page that publishes full numbers is the MaxJax standard anchor bolt kit, and they apply to MaxJax only: 10 drop-in anchors, 10 anchor bolts and 10 flat washers, 7/8 in. drill size, 5 in. minimum hole depth, 5.75 in. anchor length, and an ultimate tensile strength of up to 16,500 lb. each in 4,000-psi solid masonry or uncracked concrete. Use your own lift's manual for its anchor spec. For a flush install, plan the concrete work first: the Challenger DX77-FM recessed kit includes two pit frames.

Working height is the other constraint. Column height extensions add 2 ft. (Challenger A2006-57-2 for the CL10 series, sold as a set of two) or 3 ft. (A2006-57-3), with dedicated 2 ft. versions for the SA10 and the VLE10 and a 2 ft. extension for Hofmann two-post lifts. Confirm ceiling clearance and overhead shutoff bar position before adding column height.

Certifications declared on these products

Certifications are declared per product, not category-wide. The iDEAL MSC-FORKSPACER forklift spacer set, rated 20,000 lb. total at 10,000 lb. per spacer, is ALI Certified (Automotive Lift Institute), as is the iDEAL TP12SDX-SPNCA cradle adapter set. The BendPak F2.1F3H1 power unit is UL/ETL listed and the E1.2B3F1 is CE approved; Tuxedo describes the SPX PU-110V-S-S as ETL tested, and the other SPX listings do not state a certification. AME jack plates cite OSHA 29 CFR 1926.305. Many items carry a California Prop 65 warning. Verify any certification you depend on against the specific model listing.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know which adapter fits my two-post lift?

Measure the pin diameter at the arm end. This catalog carries 35 mm, 50 mm and 60 mm BendPak adapters and 50 mm APEX adapters, and they do not interchange. Challenger uses a drop-in stack design instead, but fitment still matters there: its 10317 reducer bushing kit is required when Challenger frame-engaging adapters are used on 15,000 lb. and 18,000 lb. lifts. If you are unsure, send us the lift model number and year.

Can I add a rolling bridge jack to any four-post lift?

No. Bridge jacks are matched to runway width and lift capacity. The RJ45W is specified for HD-7, HD-9 and GP-9 series lifts, the RJ7W for the HDS-14 series and four-post lifts of 14,000 lb. capacity or greater. If your lift is not on that list, a telescoping jack tray such as the JP45 (arm span 35.75 in. to 44 in.) is usually the workable alternative, though bottle jacks are not included with it.

Do I need a 220V circuit for a replacement power unit?

Only if the lift calls for it. The 110V units here are 115VAC single phase at 15 to 20 amps and reach 2,610 to 3,050 PSI. The 220V units are not one family: the two Tuxedo units run 230VAC or 208-230VAC single phase, 2 to 2.5 HP, with 3.5 gal. reservoirs, while the BendPak E1.2B3F1 is 220V, 1.5 HP with a 1.6 gal. reservoir at 2,500 PRV and the F2.1F3H1 is 208-230V, 2.5 HP with a 3.6 gal. reservoir. Match the pressure rating and the mounting arrangement to your lift before deciding on voltage.

Which ramp length do I need?

It depends on the approach clearance in front of the lift and how low your vehicles sit. Pivoting kits run 36, 39, 52 and 72 in., a fixed kit reaches 96 in., and the Challenger 10266L is 48 in. for low-profile vehicles. Measure the floor length available ahead of the lift before ordering.

Why do two listings sometimes give different figures for the same part?

Occasionally a marketing paragraph and a specification list disagree. The BendPak DP-30 rolling drain pan is one example: its model name and feature list both state 15 gallons, while one descriptive paragraph says 18 gallons. Go with the model name and the specification table, and ask us to confirm if the difference affects your decision.
